In our third season, "Rebuilt", our team has made many improvements both build-wise and competition-wise. For our robot, nicknamed "Beep Boop Bop", we decided to make a full CAD model of it using Onshape and figure out solutions for a game concept that was new to our team. At the San Diego District Event, we played well in qualification matches, ranking higher than ever before. While we did not get seeded for an alliance this time, our team did have the honor to accept the Gracious Professionalism award for our impact on the FIRST community.
A new school year starts, and to prepare some of our new members for the upcoming 2026 season, and as one final goodbye to Reefscape, we decided to take them and our veterans to Stay Classy Classic (formerly Battle at the Border) at Lincoln High School in late October. With slight improvements to our robot from Fairbotics, we played well in qualification matches and got selected into an alliance with teams 3128 Aluminum Narwhals, 3647 Millennium Falcons, and 5137 Iron Kodiaks. While we had a lot of fun showing our new members what FRC is like, we were unfortunately eliminated in the semifinals.
For our first offseason competition, we decided to go to Fairbotics, hosted by Team Spyder in mid-June as part of the San Diego County Fair in Del Mar, CA. Leading up to the competition, we made many improvements to "Kilometer", from a brand new scoring mechanism, to updating to a two-stage elevator. Fortunately, we made it to the playoffs and won our very first competition, alongside team 3128, the Aluminum Narwhals, and team 9975, the B-team of our good friends, the SuperNURDs.
Our second season, "Reefscape", has been a great improvement for our team. We gained many more members, who helped with building our second robot, "Kilometer", which had an elevator and claw design. Our first competition that year was the San Diego Regional, again held at UCSD in late March. Again, while we did learn a lot of lessons, we did not make it to playoffs at the regional.
Our inaugural season was the 2024 season, “Crescendo.” We began building our robot "Little Timmy" in January and competed at the 2024 San Diego Regional, which took place at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) in late March. While we did learn a lot of lessons, we did not make it to playoffs in the 2024 season.
